European Leaders Decry US Move as ‘Coercion’
European leaders including the French president charged Washington of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans were placed on individuals who have been central to efforts to introduce laws regulating American tech companies.
“For too long, ideologues in Europe have spearheaded organised efforts to coerce US companies to suppress US perspectives they oppose,” stated the US secretary of state online. “The current administration will not stand for these egregious acts of extraterritorial censorship.”

Nations including Germany, Spain, and the UK, alongside numerous EU representatives joined France in criticizing the move.
